What are Crypto Albums at Rand and how do they work?

Investing in cryptocurrencies can be overwhelming. Choosing individual assets, understanding their risks and building a balanced portfolio often requires time, knowledge and continuous monitoring.

That's why we created Crypto Albums, a simple way to gain diversified exposure to crypto through a single investment.

What are Crypto Albums?

Crypto Albums are predefined cryptocurrency portfolios designed by Rand.

Instead of selecting and purchasing individual cryptoassets one by one, you invest in a portfolio that groups multiple assets into a single position with a predefined allocation and risk profile.

Three Albums for Different Investor Profiles

You can currently choose from three different Crypto Albums:

Anchor

Our most conservative portfolio, designed for users seeking crypto exposure with lower volatility.

Horizon

A balanced portfolio aiming to combine stability and growth potential.

Frontier

Our most growth-oriented portfolio, offering higher exposure to volatile assets and designed for investors with a longer-term horizon.

Who Can Invest?

Any Rand user who has successfully completed identity verification (KYC) can access Crypto Albums directly from the app without any additional requirements.

Full Transparency on Portfolio Composition

Before investing, you can review the exact composition of each album, including every cryptoasset and its allocation percentage.

When you invest, you purchase the portfolio according to the allocation in place at that moment.

Is My Investment Automatically Rebalanced?

No.

Once your investment is made, the portfolio evolves naturally according to market performance. Over time, the relative weight of each asset may change.

If you wish to align your holdings with the current album allocation again, you can sell your position and reinvest.

Accessible Investing

Crypto Albums are designed to make diversified crypto investing accessible to everyone.

The minimum investment amount is displayed directly on each album's investment screen within the app.

How to invest in Crypto Albums

Once inside the Albums, investing is very simple. Just click on the album you’re interested in. Inside, you’ll be able to see its performance over time: returns over the last day, month, three months, one year, etc., along with a detailed chart of its behavior.

If you decide to invest, simply click “Invest in this album” and confirm the amount you want to contribute. If later on you want to increase your investment, you can go back into the same album and add more capital at any time.

When you want to withdraw your money, just click the withdraw button and choose whether you want to withdraw everything or just a part of it.

You can do this as many times as you want with any of the available Albums. You have full flexibility to invest in one, several, or all of them, depending on your strategy.

To invest, you need to have funds in your Rand checking account, and the investment will be executed automatically. If you don’t have funds, no problem: you can top up via bank transfer, instant card deposit (credit or debit), or transfer crypto from your Rand wallet (we support Bitcoin and Ethereum).

Everything is designed so you can invest in a simple, flexible, and all-in-one place.

One Simple and Transparent Fee

We believe fees should be easy to understand.

Crypto Albums have a single 0.20% transaction fee when buying and selling.

There are no management fees, maintenance fees, entry fees, exit fees or hidden charges.

Access Your Funds Anytime

There are no lock-up periods.

You can sell all or part of your position whenever you choose and receive the proceeds in your Rand balance, subject to market conditions and the trading fee.

Track Your Performance in Real Time

Inside the Rand app, you can monitor:

  • Your portfolio's current value.
  • Investment performance.
  • Current portfolio allocation.
  • Transaction history.

Chart color legend and meaning

  • Black chart: corresponds to the total balance of your Albums account. It reflects the combined performance of all your investments distributed across the different albums.
  • Green chart: shows the performance of the specific album you are currently viewing, reflecting only the behavior of that individual asset or portfolio.

Institutional-Grade Custody

The cryptoassets associated with your investment are held using the institutional custody solutions used by Rand, ensuring segregation between client assets and company assets.

Tax Considerations

Tax treatment depends on your country of residence and personal circumstances.

In Spain, gains from cryptoasset sales are generally taxed as capital gains under personal income tax rules. Rand also provides an annual tax report to help you prepare your tax filings.

Understanding the Risks

Like any crypto investment, Crypto Albums involve risks.

These include:

  • Market volatility.
  • Partial or total loss of invested capital.
  • Liquidity risks in certain market conditions.
  • Technological and operational risks.
  • Regulatory changes.

Before investing, make sure you understand these risks and assess whether the product is suitable for your financial goals.

Start Investing the Easy Way

Crypto Albums were created to make crypto investing simpler through diversified portfolios, transparent structures and clearly defined risk levels.

All accessible from the Rand app with a single investment.
