Protect Your Rand Account with 2FA: Enhanced Security in Seconds
You can now activate Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Rand. Strengthen your account security — here’s how.

At Rand, your security is our top priority. That’s why we’ve just rolled out a highly requested feature: two-factor authentication (2FA). You can now enable this extra layer of protection to secure your account whenever you log in or carry out sensitive actions.

With this added level of security, even if someone gets hold of your password, they won’t be able to access your account without the second verification step. Enabling 2FA is quick, easy, and highly recommended.

What is 2FA?

2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is a security method that requires two forms of verification before granting access to your account:

  • Your usual password
  • A temporary code generated by an app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, Duo Mobile, or Authy.

Note: some of these apps may require a paid subscription. The most popular and free option is Google Authenticator.

Why enable it?

🔐 Extra protection against potential hacks
📲 Full control over who accesses your account
🧘‍♂️ Peace of mind knowing your savings and rewards are safe

How to activate it – Step-by-step guide

First, you’ll need to download an authenticator app. You can follow these steps:

  1. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Search for “Google Authenticator” or any of the other suggested apps.
  3. Tap “Get” or “Install”.

Once installed, open the app and follow these steps:

  1. Open the app.
  2. Log in with your Google account.
  3. Tap the "+" button at the bottom right.
  4. Select the “Enter a setup key” option. You’ll copy and paste the code from the Rand app (explained below).

Then, go to your Rand app:

  • Go to the Security section (Profile -> Security).
    Select Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
  • Click the button to enable it, and you'll be asked to enter your Rand login password.
  • Copy the key that appears on this screen and paste it into your authentication app. Rand will display a secret key made up of letters and numbers.
  • Confirm and finish the setup in both the Rand app and your authentication app.

That’s it! You now have an additional layer of protection for your Rand account, helping to keep your savings safer than ever.

From now on, whenever you perform an action that requires 2FA, you’ll be asked to enter a code from your authenticator app. Just copy and paste the code into the Rand app.

Important: Save the recovery codes generated during setup. They’ll be useful in case you lose access to your authentication app.
